BROKEN BROOM LOUNGE EVENT DETAILS ANNOUNCED
Olympic Arena to be transformed to state’s largest bar
GRAND FORKS, ND – The Local Organizing Committee of the 2008 World Men’s Curling Championship today announced the detailed event schedule for the Broken Broom Lounge. The Broken Broom Lounge will be taking over the entire 30,000 sq. ft. Olympic Arena in the Ralph Engelstad Arena Complex. With a capacity of over 2,000 people, the Broken Broom Lounge will serve as the state’s largest bar for the nine-day 2008 World Men’s Curling Championship. The Broken Broom Lounge will offer live music daily from 18 bands from around the region as well as great food, drinks and a variety of entertainment throughout the tournament.
Admission to the Broken Broom Lounge is FREE. The lounge and is located adjacent to the Ralph Engelstad Arena main concourse (in the appropriately named Olympic Arena). Fans can move freely between curling action on the ice and the party action in the Broken Broom Lounge without ever leaving the arena's cozy confines.
