Grand Transoceanic Match
This traditional event gives curlers an opportunity to meet and socialize with other curlers from around the world. Curling games will be played on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 from 9:00 am-1:00 pm at the Grand Forks Curling Club. Enjoy curling fun, a lunch and refreshments at the Grand Forks Curling Club. Souvenirs and prizes for everyone! The Grand Forks Curling Club will provide transportation to and from the main doors of the Ralph Engelstad Arena on Wednesday morning. For a $25.00 entry fee, you can’t pass it up. Visit Information Services at Ralph Engelstad Arena to register. All registrations must be completed by 7:00 pm Monday, April 7. Limit of 64 participants. Register early.

Broken Broom Lounge
The Broken Broom Lounge admission is free to all World Curling ticket holders. Your ticket is your pass to daily entertainment, food and refreshments in the Broken Broom Lounge, located adjacent to the Ralph's concourse (in the appropriately named Olympic Arena). Move freely between curling action on the ice and the party in the Broken Broom Lounge without ever leaving the arena's cozy confines.
Prime Steel Car Show
The 26th Annual Prime Steel Car Show will take place on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13. For more information, visit www.primesteelcarclub.com.

Pond Hoppers Awards Dinner & Dance
The event of the week for Pond Hoppers at the World Men's Curling Championship is the Annual Pond Hopper Awards Dinner & Dance. The event will take place on Wednesday evening, April 9, at the Touch of Magic Ballroom in East Grand Forks, transportation will be provided. Jazz on Tap will provide dance music. You must be a Pond Hopper to attend! Tickets may be reserved in advance by emailing pondhopper01@aol.com - they will also be available at the Pond Hopper registration desk at the arena on Saturday and Sunday, April 5 & 6.
