Reservations
If you plan to make reservations at hotels such as the Holiday Inn, Ramada or other hotels that have rooms blocked, you have to call the hotel directly. Internet services such as Expedia and even national reservation lines usually do not have a way around the local room blocks.

WORLD CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP BUS GUIDE

Hotel Shuttle Service:

The hotel shuttle service provides shuttle service to hotel guests from their hotels in the Grand Forks and East Grand Forks area to the Ralph Engelstad Arena. Hotel shuttle service will provide service beginning one (1) hour prior to the first draw each day and will continue until approximately one (1) hour after the conclusion of the last draw of the night at the REA. Each day, the hotel shuttle service is planned to operate continuously at approximately 30 minute intervals. Click here to view the World Curling Championship Bus Guide.

Two Pick Up and Drop Off Locations at REA:

There will be two drop-off and pick up locations at the Ralph Engelstad Arena complex. The shuttle will stop at each location as it arrives and departs from the Arena:

1-Flagpoles at the front of the facility (East side of facility)

2-Broken Broom Lounge entrance (North side of facility)

Cities Area Transit (CAT):

This bus service provides public transportation fixed route service throughout the Grand Forks and East Grand Forks area.

-Bus service is provided Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 as to 6:00 pm.

-Night bus service (one route/one bus) Monday through Saturday, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

PASSPORT INFORMATION

Travel Requirements for Canadian Citizens Entering the United States
Effective January 31, 2008, Canadian Citizens entering the United States by LAND or by SEA must present:

  • A government issued photo ID (such as a drivers licenses) AND a birth certificate or citizenship card, OR
  • A valid passport, OR
  • A NEXUS or Free and Secure Trade (FAST) card, OR
  • An enhanced drivers licenses, OR
  • A Certificate of Indian Status Card (CIS), OR
  • For those 18 and under - only a birth certificate

Since January 23, 2007, Canadian citizens traveling by air to, through or from the United States must present one of the following documents:

A valid Canadian passport;
OR
A NEXUS card when used at a NEXUS kiosk
This requirement applies to all Canadian citizens, regardless of age, including children. Canadians should obtain the appropriate required documentation before leaving Canada, keep this documentation up to date and carry it with them when traveling.
